  Mac Dialup Connection Setup

This page shows the dialup connection setup for Mac OS X
Mac OS X Dial Up Connection Set up
     Click on the Apple and then on System Preferences
     In System Preferences click on Network
     On the left side you will connection devices, click on External Modem (yours may be labled differenly).

You will need to enter the local telephone number for the area you are dialing from. Click here to see a list of local numbers.

You will also need to enter your Account Name: (username)

And Password:

At this point you can click Connect if you have a phone line with dial tone connected to the computer.

Click on the Advanced button to see futher configuration...
     On the Modem button you will see the configuation for the modem, these setting can be adjusted.
     On the PPP button you will also see a set of configuations, we do not recommend changing these settings without first investigating their purpose.

You can now close everything so you are back on your desktop.
     On your desktop in the upper left corner you will see a phone icon, if you click and click on Connect your computer will start dialing.

You can also open you Network Preference if disired.
