This page shows the Mac Mail setup for Mac OS X.

Mac OS X Mac Mail setup
|
|
|
Click on the Stamp icon on your docking bar.
|
|
|
|
When the program opens Click on Mail then
|
|
|
|
When Preferences opens, click on Accounts in the top menu bar. If you have any email accounts previously setup you will
see them listed here. If you need to setup a new email address in Mac Mail click on the Plus sign in the lower left corner.

|
A wizard will start asking for your
Full Name:
Email Address:
Password:
Click Continue after entering this information.
|
|
|
|
You will need to enter your Incoming Mail Server information.
Account Type: POP
Description: (this can what ever you would like)
Incoming Mail Server: pop3.arvig.net
User Name: (first part of your email address)
Password:
Click Continue after entering this information.

|
|
You may see this pop-up, just click Continue.
|
|
|
|
On the Incoming Mail Security page select Authenticaion: Password
Click Continue
|
|
|
|
On the Outgoing Mail Server page
Description: arvig.net (could be other description if wanted)
Outgoing Mail Server: smtp.arvig.net
Leave all other boxes unchecked and click Continue.

On the Outgoing Mail Security page
Authentication: None
Click Continue
|
|
|
|
You will then see and Account Summary, if the information looks correct click Continue.
|
|
|
|
You will then see your account listed under Accounts
You can close this box.
|
|
|
|
To check for new messages click on Get Mail.
